Lancaster, CA (June 1, 2024) – A fatal accident reported in Lancaster late Friday claimed one person’s life. The California Highway Patrol troopers were called to the scene of the accident at around 11:00 p.m. on May 31.
According to police reports, a man in a wheelchair was struck by a dark SUV while crossing Sierra Highway in the area near Milling Street. The man was severely injured as a result of the accident. Despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Lancaster Sheriff’s Office. No other injuries were reported. At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are ongoing.
