California City, CA (April 22, 2024) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries as a result of a head-on collision reported in Kern County on Saturday morning, April 20. The Kern County Fire Department and area police responded to the scene of the incident at around 10:55 a.m.
According to official reports, two UTVs collided head-on on Jawbone Canyon Road. Authorities arrived on site and located the involved parties on a rural dirt road in the area. Emergency officials immediately closed off a portion of the roadway. Two people were injured as a result of the accidents. One victim was flown by helicopter to an area hospital, where they were admitted in critical condition. The second driver was transported by ambulance for emergency care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
