San Diego, CA (September 22, 2024) – A fatal bicycle accident reported in the San Diego area claimed the life of a 70-year-old man. The collision was reported to officials at around 2:40 p.m. on September 21.
Reports from the San Diego Police Department indicate that a man was riding a bicycle eastbound on Evergreen Street when he was struck by a Chevrolet Volt near Cannon Street. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as a 92-year-old woman, was making a left turn at the intersection. The bicyclist was severely injured and transported to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
