San Diego, CA (April 27, 2024) – One person was fatally injured as a result of a crash that occurred near Camp Pendleton during the evening hours on Thursday, April 25. The California Highway Patrol troopers and firefighters responded to the scene of the crash just before 9:00 p.m.
According to reports, a semi-truck tractor-trailer and a car collided on Interstate 5 near the Cockleburr Road overpass. Authorities arrived at the scene and located smoke coming from at least one of the involved vehicles. One person was fatally harmed in the crash and immediately pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
